The Romulus Legacy

Written by  Nick Marinelli

Faster than Wolverine, stronger than Sabretooth and Cyber, smarter than Xavier, and old enough to remember the Roman Empire's fall, Romulus. But who exactly is Romulus? Why has no one but a select few ever seen him? Always hidden in shadows and using people like Logan, Daken, Cyber, Sabretooth, and others to carry out the dirty work, Romulus has firmly sealed his place in the worl as a force to be reckoned with. Only nobody knows its actually him causing disasters. How many Marvel events could be tied to Romulus has yet to be determined. But the one thing that is for sure, is that he does cause a lot of destruction. The more meaningless and senseless the slaughter, the better chance is that it was Romulus' doing.

For years Romulus has manipulated Wolverine into doing some horrendous things. But he was not the only one. Since the middle 19th century, Romulus has manipulated the MacDonald-Hudson family and twisted them to his own purposes. He has used Wolverines own son, Daken, to do dirty work and even maintain Romulus' position of power. Now, with Daken gone rogue , Wolverine on a Vengance Quest against him, and Cyber and Sabretooth dead, Romulus is in a position to finally step out of the shadows and take this problem head on. But with the newly powered up Wild Child at his side and even ties to the Hellfire Club, Romulus can very easily maintain his position of power and step back into the shadows and continue to manipulate the world. With his first appearance looming (Wolverine:Origins36-37), maybe some of the questions surrounding Romulus will be answered. The one sure thing however, is that his reunion with Wolverine will be a bloody one.

I have to say that I think the film should never have been made. Im sure many fans of x men already knew much of what happened in that movie. Its a problem we face with many sagas. The makers never know when to leave it alone and end up ruining it as a result. If they make the origins of magneto i think i would have lost all faith in marvel on this basis. I already when the second fantastic four movie came out. and im getting the same feeling again oh boy. :(
