Daniel Way had a specific goal in mind when he started this series. "I wanted to clear up all the confusing continuity of Wolverine's past in order to pave the way for future stories," said Way in a recent interview. The original plans of the series was to A) Rveal Logan's son Daken, B) Show that Wolverine had been manipulated by the mysterious Romulus for most of his life (See; The Romulus Legacy), and C) Tell a great story and make a great comic book. "Origins" shortened ongoing run came mostly due to the fact that Daken had branched out on his own and had been very succesful. "As some of you may recall, the original plan was for "Origins" to run 60 issues. But with Daken breaking out on his own, in his own book, I've been able to accelerate that pace," says Dan Way in a recent interview with comicbookresources.com.
Some great revelations happen throughout the series, obviously the top reveals are going to Daken and Romulus but lets take a look at three other very important and shcoking revelations:
Among other great moments of the series were: the deaths of Omega Red, Wild Child, and Cyber; Wolverine battling Deadpool through San Francisco; Wolverine teaming with Xavier to fight Sebastian Shaw and the hellfire Club; and the first confrontation between Logan and Romulus with a special nod to the return of the brown and orange fan favorite costume.
The series was, overall, very good and was very well recieved. Daniel Way continues to surprise us with his writing. "Origins" provides a great mix of action, drama, and comedy specific to Dan Way's writing. Although, we are going to be sad to see it go, its nice that Wolverine can finally move forward as a character. For Wolverine, being "stuck in the past" is finally "stuck in the past."

- In the very first arc it was revealed that Logan was working for Team-X (through Romulus) during Vietnam and had been the one to make Frank Simpson a.k.a. Nuke the killing machine is. Logan tortured Frank and beat into his psyche code words that would makwe him go berserk when said. Think of pointing a gun and pulling the trigger. Not only that, we learned that Logan was really kind of an evil person, not the hero he would become. Issues 4 and 5 showcase a great fight against Captain America in which Logan almost kills him.
- Shortly after the revelation of Daken, Wolverine goes on the hunt for the carbonadium synthesizer. It is here revealed tha Cyber had been alive in a sort of hallucinogenic purgatory. Not only this a flashback reveals that Cyber and Sabretooth had met in the early 20th century......as friends. This arc also showcases a great battle between Daken and Cyber.
- Nick Fury came into contact with Logan shortly after Wolverine returned home after another battle with Cyber during the middle part of the series. Nick Fury revealed to Logan that he knew some very crucial things about his past. Fury gives a detailed description of Logan's family history and tree revealing, the most surprising of which was that the professor that bonded Wolverine's adamantium was a long lost cousin of his.
